Nokki Cabrera is definitely switching up the Latin music game with her signature “trap” salsa sound, which the singer attributes to her Cuban roots.
Speaking with DJ Carisma during the latest installment of the “Checc’d In” series, the Florida native explains that her latest project ‘Trap Salsa’ embodies the passion, love, and energy that salsa music traditionally captures. Nokki shares that her top influences like Shakira and Marc Anthony have inspired her the most and notes sampling the late legend Ceila Cruz in her single “La Vida.”
As she has been singing for as long as she can remember, Nokki admits that she is proud of the music she’s making and celebrates being recognized by publications by Billboard and highlighted by the Spotify streaming platform.
