New details have emerged regarding the VERZUZ deal between Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and Triller.

According to Bloomberg, Apple recently showed interest in acquiring the series. Supposedly, they were no bidding war, but the price Apple showed was rejected, and Triller Network is now the owner.

VERZUZ launched back in 2020 by both Timbaland and Swizz Beatz and since have become a cultural phenomenon featuring some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop and R&B facing off, to go head-to-head. Artists like Keyshia Cole, E-40, Ghostface Killah, Gucci Mane, Method Man, Redman and more have been featured on the series and the next highly anticipated series coming up includes both Soulja Boy and Bow Wow.

Previously, a deal was signed between both Apple Music and VERZUZ that was supposed to simultaneously allow the content to stream via Instagram VERZUZ account or Apple Music. However, that ended once the series was purchased by Triller.
