There’s a new wearable device called the Tiger Tech COVID Plus Monitor can detect some more subtle signs of COVID-19.
Reportedly, the device was authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration last week. In a press released Friday, Keff Shuren, the director of FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health, said that the device can help screen individuals who may be infected with COVID-19 but do not present typical symptoms or are asymptomatic.
“Combining use of this new screening device… with temperature checks could help identify individuals who may be infected with the virus, thus helping to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in a wide variety of public settings.”

Still be advised, this is not a replacement for a COVID-19 diagnostic test and is not intended for use by individuals who already present symptoms of COVID-19 or have a fever.
