In a recent interview in the Bumbu Room, Lil Wayne revealed the only hip-hop music he listens to is himself! Following the question, “Do you have any guilty pleasure music?” Weezy had a surprising response,

I don’t know if I have guilty pleasure music but yes I listen to music that’s not hip hop all the time cause I don’t listen to any other hip hop but my damn self… Anita Baker, Keith Sweat, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Tech 9ine (if you want to call that hip hop) Judas Priest, Nirvana, and Blink-192.

The “Believe Me” rapper also touched on hip hop music today, “I love that it actually changed because back in the [day] you had to spit your heart out. Now it’s let’s just make something that’s cool to hear.” Lil Tunechi does clarify though that he does not “listen” to these new artists on the regular but he “hears” the music and likes it so its all good!
