The Chicago rapper says he wants to be there for his wife in the early months of raising his new baby girl.
Chance The Rapper was set to embark on tour to promote his new album The Big Day, starting on September 14th. But after the recent birth of his beautiful new baby girl Marli, it seems he was faced with the tough choice; go on tour or be present for the early months of his daughters life. Chance has chosen the latter and while we are sad we’ll have to wait a few more months to hear The Big Day live, we are HERE for Chance the family man!
The rapper took to his social media pages today to announce the news, This year has been one of the greatest of my life; Marriage, new baby, first album etc. But with it being so eventful it has also been very strenuous having to divide my time and energy between family and work. When Kensli was born, I went on tour 2 weeks later and missed some of the most important milestones in her life, but more importantly, I was absent when her mother needed me the most. At this point as a husband and father of two I realize that I can’t make that mistake again. I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli.”
Awww we still love you! Chance also adds that the tour will now kick off on January 15th and if fans are unavailable for the rescheduled dates, they can receive a refund. More tix are also still available for those who haven’t copped some yet, you can get those HERE. Take a look at his full IG post below:
