Last night, Travis Scott hosted a screening in Los Angeles for his Netflix documentary “Look Mom I Can Fly.” The screening was held at The Barker Hanger in Santa Monica.
The documentary was a roller coaster ride, centering around the making of Travis’s latest album, Astroworld, and the inspiration he took from the Astroworld theme park in his hometown that was closed down in 2005. We got a look into the making of tracks like “Butterfly Effect,” “No Bystanders,” “Sicko Mode,” and more.
We also got a deeper look into Travis’s personal life, showing us clips of Kylie and Travis and their daughter Stormi’s childhood. Stormi’s upbringing was compared to Travis’s, showing Travis as a young kid in Astroworld and Stormi at Travis’s Astroworld Festival.
They also showed us what went into Travis’s halftime performance at Super Bowl LIII as well as his Grammy’s performance. We saw Travis and his team’s reactions to him getting nominated for the Grammys as well as their reactions to him not winning in any of the categories he was nominated for.
The fans were another focal point in this documentary. We saw clips of Travis’s performances ranging from 2014 to his performances at his Astroworld Tour. We hear from his fans and their stories on how Travis’s music has affected them in their lives.
