Kim K. finally came to terms with how her shapewear line name “Kimono” was appropriating a culturally significant word.

In Japanese culture, a kimono is traditional wear for women, dating back hundreds of years.

After Kim announced last week her new shapewear line “Kimono,” people took to social media to criticize her for the name.

They even created a hashtag “Kim Oh No.”

A week later she did a lengthy post explaining her “wokeness.”

“I am always listening, learning, and growing – I so appreciate the passion and varied perspectives that people bring to me. When I announced the name of my shapewear line, I did so with the best intentions in mind…I will be launching my solution wear brand under a new name. I will be in touch soon.”

BUT, some people still say this is just a stunt because many people were going to boycott her clothing line and that’s why she is changing the name.

Everyone is waiting to see what the new name will be.
