21! 21! 21! Is giving back to his community in a HUGE way!
The rapper is starting a 21 Savage Bank Account Campaign, which will teach teens about financial literacy.
On March 7th, 21 announced that he, along with non-profit organizations, Get Schooled and Juma, are teaming up to create 150 jobs for at-risk teens beginning this June!
The jobs will consist of working at concession stands at sport and entertainment venues, plus candidates will get training and experience in education and career opportunities.
Savage was inspired by his 2017 song, “Bank Account’ and thought he needed to educate young people on how to be financially responsible and gain access to opportunities he didn’t have before.
“While my #1 song was called ‘Bank Account,’ growing up, I knew almost nothing about bank accounts,” he stated in a press release, “As I have gotten smarter about financial management, I realize how empowering it is to control your money rather than be controlled by it. I want to help kids with a background similar to mine to get smart about their money.”
He will be the “Money Making Mentor,” in his campaign, and will be offering monthly tips on how to manage money.
