Meek Mill is staying busy!

Not only is his new album, ‘Championship,’ coming out and his tour about to start, he’s also determined to create change within the community!

Mill is officially a humanitarian!

He recently wrote an opinion piece in the NY Times in hopes to initiate a reform in the judicial system and create new rights for prisoners. He even created an heartfelt video for the cause; watch below:

He is pushing for balanced sentencing structures, improved bail system, and stronger rehabilitation programs.

He is also planning to start a foundation soon to make a difference and help achieve this goal. He encourages people to sign up to reformnow.com to lend their support in helping change the broken system.

He wrote: “Like many who are now incarcerated, I was the victim of a miscarriage of justice; carried out by an untruthful officer, as determined by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, and an unfair judge. [..] I got lucky, but because of dysfunctional, discriminatory rules, most don’t.” He also penned: “The criminal justice system has a set of rights created to protect you. But is it really protecting us? [..] It’s clearer than ever that a disproportionate number of men and women of color are treated unfairly by a broken criminal justice system. The system causes a vicious cycle, feeding upon itself. [..] Above all, we need to make sure punishments actually fit crimes. Mine certainly didn’t. But I am choosing to see my situation in a different light, to see that I’m incredibly fortunate. A higher power has put me in a position to help fix this; to help clean up this persistent stain on our society.”

Meek Mill making great moves with his platform!
