In light of anti-bullying month, Power 106 teamed up with Hollister to surprise the kids at John Burroughs High School in Burbank with a special performance from Khalid.
The lunch assembly began with DJ Eman, J Cruz, Cece, and the Power 106 street team giving out free swag and hyping the kids up. Soon after, an anti-bullying spokesperson named Natalie gave a short speech, using her own experience as motivation.
Natalie proceeded to speak about starting her own mobile app called Sit With Us, designed to fight bullying and promote kindness and inclusion in middle schools and high schools. The goal is for the kids to not have to sit alone during lunch time. Right after, Khalid came out from behind the curtains to perform standout hits “Location,” “Saved,” and “Young, Dumb & Broke.”
