Nike is definitely not backing down since dropping their new campaign. The sports brand is doubling down and will be airing the “Just Do It” ad featuring Colin Kaepernick during NFL’S kick-off game.
The ad was posted on social media networks originally and has received a lot of backlash in the past couple of days. However, Nike will be giving Colin Kaepernick prime-time exposure with the commercial, which features the former quarterback, during tonight’s Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles game.

Nike was aware that featuring the controversial former NFL star whose kneeling during the national anthem encouraged a movement on police brutality and patriotism, would cause a backlash. This decision has put Nike in many consumes’ mind. The rally on social media will definitely popularize the company.
Those who have decided to boycott have not stopped Kaepernick’s supporters from being vocal about their beliefs.
Many Hip-Hop and R&B artists including Dj Khaled, Chuck D, and George Clinton others have reacted on Twitter.
