During the conversation, real name Matthew Hauri reveals how Ugly God inspired him to start rapping.

“He’s one of my inspirations. I had already started making music before I found him, but we kind of have this similar vibe. I was like, ‘This dude’s doing it, he did really well. I might as well put more of my effort into this because it could really pop off.” After seeing Ugly God’s career take off, he thought,“Let me just try it and see if it sounds good.”
