LeBron James is ready to make a difference in the city of Los Angeles as the newest Laker, but the league veteran has also given back to his hometown in a major way.
Partnering with the Ohio school district of Akron Public Schools, along with the LeBron James Family Foundation, James has officially launched the I Promise School for at-risk elementary school students.
Completely decked out with state of the art, modern, and basketball inspired décor, the newly renovated academy takes on themes of holding a promise of dedicated vows to education, family, leadership, respect, and fundamental skills like always doing homework.
Congrats to LeBron James and the students of IPS on their first official day of school!
