Donald Glover has been on a role with his acting career as well as his music career as Childish Gambino.  Recently, it was announced Glover received the role of Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo film.

Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller said, “we’re so lucky to have an artist as talented as Donald join us.”  The Atlanta creator will have to deal with filming the second season of Atlanta as well as filming, but accommodations are being made for the series and the movie.  Billy Dee Williams, the original Calrissian, played the role in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

This year alone, Gambino has hosted many events and achieved many accomplishments.  He’s planned his concert experience in Joshua Tree Pharos, premiered his hit show Atlanta, finished filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, and had his first child with his girlfriend.
