With his forthcoming album ‘Akonic’ on its way, then more than a legendary artist, entrepreneur, entertainer, and philanthropist Akon pulled up on DJ Felli Fel at the Power 106 studios to discuss his step back into music as a solo artist.

Akon is no stranger to the music industry but the singer, producer, and songwriter admits that he took some time away from his solo music due to projects he worked on with other artists as well as a slew of business deals that he wanted to see through. One of those many publicized deals is the continued work he’s putting in to solidify his own city in Senegal as well as his creation of his own cryptocurrency. Naturally, it was only right to get back to music and his latest single is a true testament to where he is in life, both creatively as well as mentally. “Enjoy That” is the first step back into his solo career but Akon has been behind the scenes developing new artists, and he shares with Felli a few details about some projects dropping soon.

Both Felli and Akon have a long history together as they made the 2077 hit single “Get Buck In Here,” and the two discuss how the record came together during a night in Vegas.

Akon goes on to speak about the recent controversy surrounding Kanye West and his “White Lives Matter” shirt, the advice he would give his younger self, and much more.
