According to documents filed by the court, Travis and his new attorney Daniel Petrocelli is looking for the dismissal of a claim by “Jessie Garcia” and the other civil lawsuits. In the case of Jessie, Travis notes the lawsuit should be dismissed with prejudice as it solely pertains to himself, Cactus Jack and Jack Enterprises.
As a blanket response to all of the allegations, they’ve issued a “general denial” for claims again Scott. Travis has not claimed responsibility for any death or injury that occurred and is now asking a judge to dismiss all claims again him and any party affiliated. He continues to maintain that he is not liable legally, and notes critical failures; including inadequate and poorly trained security, deficient coordination between city officials and festival management, and a nearly hour-long delay in halting the show after the danger became apparent, led to the safety issues those in attendance faced.
In addition, a motion was supposedly filed to combine all of the cases into a single case called a “multi-district litigation.’ However, no official ruling on the motion has been made.
