Odell Beckham, Jr Received His Full Salary In Bitcoin

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr took to Twitter to announce he’s receiving his entire salary in Bitcoin.

“It’s a NEW ERA & to kick that off I’m hyped to announce that I’m taking my new salary in bitcoin thanks to @CashApp,” Beckham wrote. “To all my fans out there, no matter where u r: Thank you! I’m giving back a total of $1M in BTC [right now] too. Drop your $cashtag w #OBJBTC & follow @CashApp NOW.”

Beckham signed a one-year contract with the Rams earlier this year. His contract was equipped with a salary base of $750,000 and a signing bonus of $500,000. This also included $3 million available in tam-based incentives, according to Rams Wire.

Odell is the latest NFL star to take his salary in cryptocurrency.
