Damon Wayans says he would go head to head with Dave Chappelle on VERZUZ if there was a comedy variant of the battle.
In an interview with KBXX 97.9 The Box, The In Living Color writer and star was asked if he’s been keeping up with VERZUZ. “No, I have not,” he replied, following up with the question, “Do they do it with comedians?” The hosts immediately asked who he would go against, and Wayans without hesitation responded “[Dave] Chappelle,” much to their delight. “I’m calling him out.”

Damon Wayans is retired from stand-up but is currently working with My Wife and Kids co-creator Don Rep on a new ABC series. The show is dubbed “Let’s Stay Together” and is currently in development.
