That’s right, Thugger Thugger himself is going to be in a movie. The film is called “Throw It Back” and will be led by Feigco Entertainment and Tiffany Haddish’s production company, She Ready.
According to Deadline, the movie will be directed by Shadae Lamar Smith and was co-written by Rochée Jeffrey. The film is a musical drama-comedy that follows a High School senior named Wytrell (Shahadi Wright Joseph), who has never stood out from the crowd. A controversial rapper (Young Thug) decides to add the school’s dance team to his video, so Wytrell comes up with the idea to fight for a position on the team as her final chance to be seen.
In addition to being a co-star, Thug is also an executive producer of the film and supervised the soundtrack, which will feature Southern hip-hop and HBCU collegiate band sounds.
