It’s been almost five months since the untimely death of New York rapper Pop Smoke. As fans continue to mourn and celebrate the late rapper’s life with his posthumous debut album ‘Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon’, which dropped last Friday, it is now being reported that LAPD has arrested five people in relation to Smoke’s death.

The Los Angeles Police Department headquarters shared a statement via their Twitter account, announcing the news nearly five months after Pop’s life was taken.

“LAPD Detectives have arrested three adult males & two juvenile males related to the Feb 19th murder of Bashar Jackson, a New York based rapper known as Pop Smoke. We will provide further details as they become available.”

Pop Smoke, real name Bashar Jackson, was murdered back in February after an unknown number of suspects wearing masks entered a home in the Hollywood Hills.

There has also been much talk surrounding SMoke’s deluxe edition of his debut album with Young Thug and Pusha T beefing their issues out on social media over Pusha’s “Paranoia” verse, which ignites the long-standing struggle between Drake and Push.
