Jessie Woo Talks Industry Colorism, Being Black In Media, Tori Brixx, Pursuing Her Music Career & More

Musician, activist, and reality TV star, Jessie Woo sat down with Nick Cannon and talked openly about her truthful experiences being in the industry. The conversation began when Nick asked Jessie about her controversial interview about colorism and being black in corporate America and her experience on Nick’s show ‘Wild N’ Out’.

The reality star was noted saying that she felt she was discriminated against that her talents weren’t appreciated for what they were. Nick then tells Jessie that when he heard what she said, it hurt his heart, as he says he would never create an environment where people felt discriminated against.

The activist said, “I’ve been in this position before, I’ve spoken out on certain experiences I’ve had, and the person on the other end, has never said, let’s have a constructive conversation… it’s been an attack. But you called and said, “What happened and how do you see me fixing this?” She thanked Nick for being understanding and sympathetic to her issues.

“I don’t know, maybe it’s Haitian in me, but I just can’t accept no. I can’t accept that I can’t make a change, I don’t accept that I can’t break boundaries, so that’s always been my mindset, but I definitely want to thank you for reaching out.”

The conversation got more in-depth as the two talked about, the Tori Brixx situation, background checks, education, being a chocolate girl, Megan The Stallion, and more. Check out the full video:
