The infamous R. Kelly is staying in the news because his ex-girlfriend, Azriel Clary, is refusing to stay quiet. 

Azriel continues her journey to recovery from what she claims was a dysfunctional and abusive relationship with the smooth R&B singer and alleged abuser, R. Kelly. Now, her goal is to support others who have suffered from unhealthy relationships of their own. Clary aims to work with non-profit organizations that help to protect young people. 

One organization by the title of, Team Truth, ran by Clary’s father Angelo Clary, will educate minors and their families about different types of abuse and how to escape inhibited situations. More specifically, Clary would like to target her reach to women of color by starting her own foundation that will help women regain control of their lives. 

As she reclaims independence, she is also getting back into music to become a recording artist. Her YouTube series, “On the Run with Azriel”, joins both her advocacy and her music career. 

We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes after all that she’s been through.
