Tory Lanez just unleashed his highly-anticipated project Chixtape 5, an ode to all the timeless 90’s R&B smashes we all know and love. Spearheaded by the single “Jerry Springer” featuring T-Pain, which nostalgically samples T-Pain’s timeless hit “I’m Sprung,” the 18-track project will without a doubt result in endless babies being born. The Toronto native is best known for his ability to formulate baby-making music in the bedroom, giving the R&B game an unforgettable, sexy, much-needed spice.
To celebrate the release of his album, Tory teamed up with adidas and Shoe Palace for the 50th anniversary of the Superstar shoe. The sneaker has been part of hip-hop culture since its inception, paying homage to all those who made it the iconic show it is today. To celebrate, adidas is hosting two-tier activations inviting fans to experience excluisve access to not only new music, but their favorite artists as well. With Tory’s recent success, who better to choose?
Last night (November 13th) at Shoe Palace on Melrose, Tory threw an explosive album release party to preview Chixtape 5 before it hit all streaming platforms at 9pm PST. Fresh kicks and fresh tracks were available for all those were who lucky to be in attendance, highlighting the shoe’s connection to the culture. Power 106 was in attendance for the festivities, which included Hennessy, sneakers, and some of Tory’s best music to date.
