21 Savage is continuing to walk that talk as his annual Back-to-School Drive is taking place on Sunday, August 4th. He confirmed through his Instagram by posting a colorful flyer.
This is his fourth year doing this event in the East Atlanta community. Residents now see this as an annual tradition, being held once more on Glenwood Road. This year he is partnering with Amazon Music, Momma Flystyle and Leading by Example Foundation. The children will receive free school supplies, backpacks, school uniforms, haircuts and hairstyles for boys and girls.
This is clearly an important cause for 21 Savage and his team. His co-manager Meezy said in last years event, βThis is Dekalb County, I grew up here and I want to make sure these kids have nothing to worry about . . . We hope that people get inspired. Everybody can feel like money. This takes the stress off of a parent that just had to pay their rent.β
This event has gotten bigger every year with last year having lines wrapping around the shopping center. During the 6-hour event the families and kids will be able to enjoy music and see a guest appearance of 21 Savage at the end of the night. This is definitely a cool way to end the summer before going back to school!
