Thankfully, it turns out that the rapper is fine, and this was a concept for a music video.
Earlier today, Famous Dex had posted an eerie photo to his Instagram with the caption “Killing Myself” accompanied by three syringe emojis. In the photo Dex is seen with slashed and bloody arms and his eyes appear as if he had been crying. This of course sent the hip-hop world and many friends of the rapper into a frenzy.
Offset commented under the pic saying, “U a man of God my boy pray u got kids dawg they need ya.” Smokepurpp, Ugly God and Akadmiks also left messages of concern urging him to reach out.
The rapper later followed up the first picture with another of him lying in a bathtub filled with blood, and the shower hose around his neck. This caption read, “Don’t Cry Nooooooo, The Wave Killer.” As chilling as it may be, he wouldn’t have been able to post the photo if he in fact had the intention of harming himself. People in the comments began suggesting this was part of a concept for a video that he later confirmed with several videos on his Instagram story. It’s safe to say Dex definitely scared a few people, but we’re glad he’s okay! Check out the photo below, but proceed with caution as it is labeled “sensitive content”.
