Moneybagg Yo recently unleashed his project 43VA HEARTLESS, with standout features from Gunna, Offset, Lil Durk, Kevin Gates, Blac Youngsta, and even the City Girls. Growing up in the South, Bagg lists his biggest musical influences as Boosie, Yo Gotti, Jeezy, and Juvenile. Now, the Memphis native stops by Power 106 for an exclusive interview with DJ Felli Fel.
During the conversation, Moneybagg reveals all the things he’s doing for his community back home, without needing to talk or post on social media. Next, Felli asks some of Bagg’s favorite collabs. He states, “I like J. Cole record of course. Working with Offset, that was cool. Gunna, we got that vibe in there. I could just go on.” — and having a collab with Summer Walker in the works.
Bagg states, “Me & Summer Walker, we finna work together. I reached out to her. I DM’ed her, strictly on some business. Just work, nothing else. If I just say ‘yo’, you know… I never met her though in person. She sent the Gmail over.”
When it comes to picking between Biggie or Tupac, Moneybagg answers: “both!” Watch above as Moneybagg Yo reveals getting his start with Yo Gotti, recording the L.A. Leakers freestyle off top, and what fans can expect on his upcoming tour!
