Van Lathan on the check in as usual, and we wish it was under better circumstances. Van gets choked up, saying “We lost Nip yesterday, obviously everybody knows that…”. He even admits to being a bit detached from the story in order to properly grieve, completely understandable a of course. Van describes Nipsey as a person who was always right there, easy to talk to, and just a good person. He does say in his opinion that he does believe there will be an arrest made soon, “not that, that’s going to change anything,” and then he asks the community not to let his passing incite anymore violence.
