It has already been established that Anderson .Paak‘s Ventura album is going to be another iconic project. Looking back on his previous list of features, like Snoop Dogg and Oxnard’s production by Dr. Dre, it only seems fitting that Andre 3000 would be next up on the list of greats.
In an interview with Beats 1, the multi-talented artist shares the a little bit of the process that went into working with the legendary Andre 3000.
“I got that Spitter Andre,” .Paak spills. “Man, that was rough I didn’t think it was gonna happen. We spent a lot of days where like ‘Day 3, still no Andre.”
The Oxnard native concluded though, that the wait for the Outkast rapper’s verse was well worth it, saying to Andre, “Did you have to go that hard?!”

.Paak has had major success for himself last year with Oxnard, and winning the Grammy’s Best Rap Performance for “Bubblin.” Besides Andre 3000, we can expect poultry vocals from Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan and bars from the late Nate Dogg. Ventura is set to drop on April 12th, but for now he has fans patiently waiting with the first track release, “King James.”
