It’s 2019 and dreams really do come true!

This Saturday, American Airlines has hired their first flight attendant with Down Syndrome.

The airline granted South Carolina teen, Shantell “Princess” Pooser, the job as her 17th birthday wish. The wish was granted at her birthday party at Columbia Metropolitan Airport, her mother described it as “a dream come true”.

Shantell is battling a condition that obstructs over 87 percent of her airways. This requires her and her mother to travel to the children’s hospital in Cincinnati frequently and is where her love for flying came from.

Let’s keep this same energy ALL 2019!
