Holiday Tribute Cards for LA Regional Food Bank

You can help the L.A. Regional Food Bank by sponsoring a Holiday Tribute Card to help the hungry. The cards start at $5. Every dollar provides enough food for 4 meals so each $5 tribute card donated allows the Food Bank to provide 20 healthy meals. They also have Stock the Pantry events happening on Saturdays throughout the month.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services program helps low-income families served by DPSS and provides toys, clothes and food to help the families and children in need. You can sign up for the Adopt-A-Family Program on their website and help make a difference for needy families and children in LA during the holidays.

Power 106’s very J Cruz of the Cruz Show just launched their 3rd annual Power 106 CRUZ CARES Toy drive that benefits the Variety Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Boyle Heights and the Watts Boys and Girls Club! Last year’s CRUZ CARES event raised over $50,000 in toys and donations for kids in need, this year, we’re hoping to raise the bar and make it to $60,000! You can make a difference by donating to a child in need. Here are all the ways you can donate:
1. Text 106Cruz (no spaces) to 41444 to make a donation from your phone.
2. Drop a toy off here at Power 106 studio at 2600 West Olive Avenue, Suite 800, Burbank, CA.
3. Make an online donation to https://www.varietysocal.org/donation/donation Make sure you put “Cruz Cares” in the “additional comments” box.
4. Listen to The Cruz Show for weekly locations with Lechero in the community to drop off your toys or donations.
