Hailing from Harlem, Melii is a singer, songwriter, and rapper who is here to put on for all the strong Latin females in the world. Exploding onto the scene with her remix of Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow,” the bilingual recording artist stays true to herself while displaying confidence in her lyrics and laying them over hard-hitting production. Now, the “ICEY” rapper stops by Power 106 for an exclusive interview on our Now You Know series.

Introducing herself, she states, “Melii is very sarcastic, beautiful inside and out, very selfless. I got through a lot of mood swings, I take on a lot of personalities throughout the day. Being from Harlem, it don’t let me all into any corny shit. I don’t feel like it’s because of the music, but it’s because of the impact of they had.”

Speaking on her performance at Rolling Loud, Melii keeps it real: “I’m praying to God that it goes good. ‘Cause I definitely always bring energy, regardless of who’s in the crowd or whatever I’m feeling. I will be nervous, but I’m bringing that energy.”
