In a recent interview Joey Bada$$ gave us an update on what we can expect from his upcoming album, A.A.B.A.  The Brooklyn rapper even compared his album to “hella vegetables” while explaining how strong and beneficial the project will be for his fans.

The 21 year old rapper expressed that he wants his album to be uplifting and positive while still giving his fans the exciting, fun beats that they love.  He wants to make sure that he is entertaining while the messages within his lyrics are still “hella good for you”.

Joey explained this by describing his most recent hit, “Devastated”, “It’s almost my hesitance with it: the fact that it’s so good for you, because these kids these days want candy. ‘Devastated’ is almost like the organic candy because the message is still good for you.”

If “Devastated” is any indication of what we can expect on this next album then give me a plate of veggies!
